waiting patiently

So last week was fair I only ran 5 days because of lots of meets. Should/could have run last tues- it would have been difficult on saturday as we went to millrose friday and then gtown prep on saturday. so i was obv tired. 38 miles last week in 6 runs which is ok. So far this week yesterday i ran 5.5 with patrick and then today i did 8.5 on tmill with 3x10 min of 9.2,9.3,9.4 with 5 min jog. Will prob try 10 400s in the gym on wednesday just at 90 with a 30 sec-1:00 rest- maybe alternate? that would keep it interesting. Actually i should prob just go straight 30 or start ev 2 min. then if all is well(is it ever haha) i will try to run the 1600 on saturday. possibly a bigmistake heh/ugh. I already decided ill wear the light trainers no flats etc not yet- prob not for quite a while really.

Also i did another tmill wo last thursday of 5x5:00 9.4-10.0 with 4 min jog.

Tomorrow is February! 4 weeks to go pretty much.

Oh also I think the ice/snow might be a dud it looks like its moved too far north. we shall see

double now snow

Yesterday didnt run as i was tired plus we had counties. Not great but no biggie- im not sure ill get the workout in this week if its very snowy- maybe on treadmill at least for one of them. Counties was certainly acceptable or a little better we won the 4x8 so good and won both SP and HJ which is not surprising- picked up a few other places in 300,55hur and HJ again. For girls not as many places but Imani looked better and Sierra ran very well!

Today ran a slow 4 miles with Jeff at like 1030 and then with Patty for 6 at mcd at 130. I didnt even think of it till now but the 4+ miles took 4250 and the 6 miles took 45. lol. So yeah tomorrow prob no school I think i want to run a wo on the treadmill. Then maybe a long run or Howard county "race" on Sunday is a good idea and hopefully i can do a wo on the track by next tuesday or so. I will stick with the 10 400s using my patient approach hooray. I think i will be a go for next Saturday in a painfully slow 1600. Hopefully painful due to the race and not my foot heh. I have to find my jersey!

variety pack

hm lets see what to write. running is going ok. got 47 miles last week. wo with jamie 4x800 2:57 with 90 sec rest. tomorrow is 10x400 with 200 jog at 88-90. well see if i stick with 90 pace as tempo pace it is not an exact science at this level haha i can get out the blood lactate measuring equipment maybe. But I think I will. Did a wo with millrose bound madeline yesterday it was fairly hard 600-400-600-400-4x200. We did it on the path around the fields at gilman as the track was icy. I kept up fairly well I think the distances were a little off but the times were consistent at least. I managed to run at least 5:20 pace and probably faster for 2800m without my foot breaking so that was good. oday was an hour on the treadmill for just over 8 miles. I was actually i bit tired in the last two miles which was nice. I started at 7.7 and went up .1 every 5 minutes(after 10 min at 7.7 for wu). Luckily the snow/rain event for wednesday looks like mostly rain hopefully.

So the next 5 days will be busy with probably 4 meets. haha. im tired of writing now

funny fingers falderal

So today was an amusing run on the fingers. Lots of silliness with jamie em and patty. Also (very) briefly tyler and ashley b lol. I wore the red shoes and they seemed to do alright. So far 21 miles in 3 days on 3 runs so pretty good id like to try and get 50 this week if possible. That would proably involve one double which is doable depending on the weather. If it doesnt happen not a big deal. My foot is freezing right now btw im about to take it out yeesh haha

more than halfway!

we are making progress thru winter which is good. If we werent making progress that would be a big problem obv haha. Anyway, the last couple days have been good. 9 miles with Jamie on Friday on an old school Mt Wilson run with cut through the neighborhood off of mcd road and past the new! elementary school etc- up to the new lol gate and turn around and come back. Next day only 3.5 Belmont O+B which was smart.

Then yesterday ran with Patty 8 miles which felt quite good- pace was pretty good like 730s for the first two even with the snow and felt good. 10K plus a loop plus 2 laps.

Today ran with Jamie 10k loop and then 3 200s with Miranda and Corinne in the gym. They were 38-37-36 more or less and felt ok. I should soak my foot but im cold and tired i still might heh.

Last week was 45 miles btw. Newxt two weeks hopefully between 50 and 55- not over 55 though def.

another workout

SO things are going ok. last week ran 49 miles in 6 days took saturday off because it was montgomery invit and the mileage was a little high. This week is going well so far sunday- 5 with em,mon- wo on tmill 4x5min+1x2min my foot started to get a little sore/tired so I only did 1 2 min rather than 2-3. The pace went from 9.2-9.8 and then 10 on the 2 min. Yesterday ran w jamie em and todd 7 miles at mcd felt a little tired at the end.

Today ran with TT and jamie 12 min wu then 10x2min with 2 min jog on fingers. Moderate wind/cold. Good pace just tried to keep TT in sight which was mildly successful haha. Legs still not used to turning over def. Hopefully I can slowly build speed back up. My foot was sorish on the last 2-3 it seems like 16-20 min is my limit for that right now which is ok. The pace was faster than what I have been doing estimate 540 avg? heh who knows. Tomorrow another 7 then long run on friday 9-10. Hopefully on grass at some point maybe tmill? then run in howard county on sunday if everything is good.

workout??

SO ran with jeff r at franklin- just short of 2 wu then 6x400 on turf with 200 jog. the pace was slow like 95-97 on turf which is a little faster on track obv. I felt ok. Its hard to count this as a wo obv. Maybe I will do it again on Saturday at PG I just thought of that and its a good idea. Then went down to mcd and ran 3.5 on tmill after prac which felt better than yesterday.

still running

So yesterday ran with anna and jamie. short wu followed by 5x4min with 4 min jog +2x2min. The 4 min were good at a moderate effort. My foot was 100% for the first two and 90% for the last 3. The 2x2min were on the track backwards in the outside lane. It felt significantly fast and fairly hard pace unknown prob approx 550m in 2 min? which seems like not a lot given the effort oh well heh. 400m cool down.

Then today ran with jeff r and jamie- 10k loop pus 3 laps for nice 7 in 56 min. Then ran 3 miles on tmill after prac in the new lighter training shoes. I still think i want to put the heel inserts in prob both pairs of shoes.

also franklin boys were ranked 10th in the paper heh good but not really important.

long run and regular run

Ran 9 miles with Anna yesterday- maybe a tiny bit less but call it nine. From her house out to end of ivy mill then loop around through the neighborhood to the right and back. Felt good my foot was a little sore but not bad. Then 6 miles this am with jamie and anna which was fine. the new shoes seem to be doing some good. I prepped the other pair todya and was going to try them on a 3 mile pm run but had to give rides etc etc so just went home- tomorrow. Although actually wednesday cuz theres a wo and a meet tomorrow.

Prediction Run

So today went fairly well. The course started at the gate in Loch raven due to construction on the bridge at that start. SO O+B one way then O+B up to top of providence. No splits obv I was just running at 2 lefts/breath every oncec in a while. Felt fine obv i couldnt go much faster but just ran along steadily. I couldnt decide whether to ease off at the end to try and hit the predicted time but then just ran to the end. My time for the "5" was 30:49 which is not bad. The race was approx 100m short(as often the case heh). Predicted 31:35 so it would have been fairly close heh. Obv not that important.

My foot was tolerable I had the new black 2150s without a heel pad. My achilles was actually old school sore plus the pf a bit. Not bad but I think ill stick with the pad still prob. So today was ok I will write up some wos for january.

Also ashley b broke her collarboone by falling in sharks and minnows which is sickening ugh not too too long but still- shit
